Summary – Benign neoplasm of the extremity, can be subungal. Often painful, particularly in the cold or when they are submerged in cold water. When painful, these lesions can be surgically excised.

Diagnostic tip – Differentiate from malignant tumor, possible referral to dermatologist.

Referrals – Dermatologist, surgeon.
