Hi, my name is Ricky and I am the Director and podiatrist at The Walking Clinic

I graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2012, After graduating I spent some time working in Sydney prior to returning to Canberra to work alongside my Father, Richard Lee and Mother, Sandra Moffat. This provided my invaluable experience working alongside my father and mother, in both aspects of running a successful business but also learning from their fantastic podiatry skills.

My most enjoyable aspect of podiatry is the variety of patients I get to see daily. Our clinics work with multiple sporting teams and organisations which means treating a variety of sports related injuries to keep athletes at their highest performance. Alongside this I have undertaken further training in the use of EMS shockwave therapy for chronic injuries like plantar fasciitis (heel pain) or Achilles tendinopathy and ARC Fox laser for the use fungal nail infections. I am proud of my ability to work with various patients’ problems and help improve their mobility and overall quality of life.

In other aspects of podiatry, I have sat on the Australian Podiatry Association NSW/ACT board, I have sat on Australian podiatry associations region councils and currently sit on the Podiatry in Business board. I have worked tirelessly over the past 5 years to help improve the profession of podiatry and help as many patients as possible.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters, I now enjoy social sport, like touch football. Previously I raced competitive downhill mountain biking and was lucky enough to represent Australia and tour and race internationally through Europe, America and Canada. I still enjoy to my time riding mountain bikes but certainly not as competitively.
